Weekly Message - December 1-5

It was a full and productive week at CNG, and there’s lots to share as we head into December. Thank you again for your continued support of our students, our staff, and the many activities underway in the building. Below you’ll find updates on conferences, basketball, the Veterans Food Drive, school fees, the upcoming Book Fair, and next week’s Activity Day, along with a look at what’s ahead.

Parent Teacher Conferences

Thank you to all who joined us for our parent teacher conferences this week. We hope the conversations set a positive direction for next steps in student learning for the coming months. If you were not able to meet with your child’s teachers, please feel free to contact them by email. Our next round of parent teacher interviews will be scheduled in the spring.

Basketball Season Comes to an end

Congratulations to our basketball athletes and coaches for a fantastic season. Our teams represented our school community with great character and consistent effort. We are so proud of each of you for the time, effort, and exceptional character you demonstrated throughout the shortened season. Thank you!

Veterans Food Drive

We’re now wrapping up Week 2 of the Veterans Food Drive, and the momentum is strong. Every teacher has a collection box for food items and an envelope for cash donations.

Leadership students did an interim count earlier this week, and several classes are off to a great start. The current grade leaders are:

  • de Jong 6.4
  • Floyd 7.4
  • Dey 8.7
  • Crich 9.2

There are many veterans who could use support this season, so please keep this drive on your radar and continue to encourage participation. Our Leadership students care deeply about this work, and our Grade 9 Leadership class will be visiting homerooms again to remind everyone that we still have about a week and a half to go.

Food boxes will be collected on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.

Thanks again for your support!
